چکیده

A selection of oranges, guava and spinach were purchased from the local markets of Lahore, Pakistan. Extraction of the samples was carried out using an acetonitrile/toluene extraction procedure to determine the residual concentration of pesticides which may have been used during seasonal growth. Gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) was used for quantitative and confirmatory analysis of GC-amenable pesticides. The data obtained was compared with that of a referenced pesticide by matching molecular weight to a library of known pesticides. For comparison the same non-sprayed fruits/vegetable were extracted as a control reference. Factors studied were rentention time, elution time, relative abundance and molecular weight. The results showed that low molecular weight pesticides were eluted before the high molecular weight pesticides. Pesticides identified included crotoxyphos, fenoxycarb and methoxyfenozide.

[Rapid determination of 129 pesticide residues in vegetables and fruits by gas chromatography-triple quadrupole mass spectrometry].

An analytical method for the simultaneous determination of 129 pesticides in vegetables and fruits was established based on optimized QuEChERS with gas chromatography-triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS). The samples were extracted with acetonitrile (containing 1% (v/v) acetic acid), then the extracts were determined by GC-MS/MS in multireaction monitoring (MRM) mode after being clean...

Analysis of Pesticide Residues in Lettuce Using a Modified QuEChERS Extraction Technique and Single Quadrupole GC/MS

The determination of pesticides in fruits and vegetables has been simplified by a new sample preparation method, QuEChERS (Quick, Easy, Cheap, Effective, Rugged and Safe), and published recently as AOAC Method 2007.01.1 The sample preparation is shortened by using a single step buffered acetonitrile (MeCN) extraction and liquid-liquid partitioning from water in the sample by salting out with so...

Multi-Residue Method for Determination of 85 Pesticides in Vegetables, Fruits and Green Tea by Stir Bar Sorptive Extraction and Thermal Desorption GC-MS

A multi-residue method to determine fi ve groups of 85 pesticides chlorinated, carbamate, phosphorous, pyrethroid and others in vegetables, fruits and green tea has been developed using stir bar sorptive extraction (SBSE) coupled to thermal desorption and retention time locked (RTL) GC-MS. Pre-extraction with methanol and dilution with water prior to SBSE (60 min) were performed. Dilution of me...

Multiresidue method for determination of 20 organochlorine pesticide residues in fruits and vegetables using modified QuEChERS and GC-ECD/GC-MSD

A rapid multiresidue method has been developed for the analysis of 20 organochlorine pesticides (OCs) in fruits and vegetables. The method is based on a modified QuEChERS procedure employing acetonitrile for extraction and partition. Dispersive solid-phase extraction (dSPE), containing primary and secondary amine (PSA) and graphitized carbon black (GCB), was used for cleans-up. Analytical deter...
